The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) by ShanghaiRanking is one of the major international rankings assessing academic and research performance across specific disciplines. In its 2026 Clinical Medicine ranking, Universidad Europea de Madrid has been included for the first time, placing it among the 10 Spanish universities classified and the top 500 worldwide in this field.
It is particularly meaningful to see Universidad Europea recognized as the only private university in the Madrid region and the second private university in Spain in Clinical Medicine, with the second-highest research impact score in Spain.
I have been part of the Universidad Europea medical faculty since 2017, as Coordinator of the ENT course, and this recognition is especially gratifying because medical education and research are inseparable from clinical practice. Much of that work takes place in our hospitals and departments, where physicians combine patient care with teaching and research, while guiding students during their clinical training.
I am proud to be part of this shared project and grateful to all the colleagues who make it possible every day. Congratulations to the entire Universidad Europea community.
I hope we can continue working together to train the physicians of the future, advance meaningful clinical research, and, above all, keep working for the benefit of our patients.
