I have updated my membership with the European Head & Neck Society (EHNS). This international non-profit organization brings together a multidisciplinary community of professionals, researchers, and patient advocates dedicated to advancing the care of individuals with Head&Neck Cancer.
The EHNS aims to promote excellence in research, education, prevention, and patient care, fostering collaboration among clinicians (head and neck/oral/plastic surgeons, radiation therapists, medical oncologists, imaging specialists, pathologists) and other health professionals (speech therapists, nurses, dietitians , social workers, psychologists), as well as basic scientists and patient organizations. Together, we strive to raise the standards of treatment and quality of life for those affected by this challenging disease.
Today, December 10, marks National Head & Neck Cancer Day in Spain, while July 27 is recognized globally as World Head&Neck Cancer Day. For those of us devoted to treating patients with Head&Neck Cancer, every day is a reminder of our mission. We work tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcomes and enhance the quality of life for each and every person we care for.
Let’s continue to raise awareness and support advancements in the fight against Head&Neck Cancer.
